The repertoire spans from folk songs to Swedish and international classics and modern compositions.
The separate booklets accompanying each individual CD are supplemented by a unique and comprehensive book containing historical documentation of the string quartet and its evolution in Sweden, an index of all known string quartets in Sweden making their debuts up to the end of 1951, and full details of performances by foreign string quartets in Sweden up to and including 1950. The box contains a selection of the most important works in the history of Swedish music.
