Andrew Appel has embarked upon a project which will see him eventually record all of Couperin's music for solo harpsichord, nine volumes in total of which this is Volume No.1.

Andrew Appel performs regularly as soloist and with his ensemble Four Nations throughout the United States and Europe, and is a member of the Smithsonian Players and Opera Lafayette. He has received much critical acclaim for his previous solo and ensemble recordings with Bridge Records and Gaudeamus.
