This is the sixth and final CD documenting the music of the "Moscow New Jewish School". The music featured focuses primarily upon a Jewish composers active in Moscow and St. Petersburg during the early decades of the 20tyh century.
They developed their own musical style, drawing upon both elements of traditional Jewish music and modern compositional techniques. For more than ten years, it has been a labor of love for the distinguished pianist, musicologist and composer to rescue and document this "lost generation" of Jewish composers - searching the archives of Russia, Germany and Israel for manuscripts and biographical information.
